My grandfather was born in Amandola in 1882. It’s located at the foot of the Sibillini mountains in the southern region of Le Marche. I couldn’t resist this sign, a rusty beat-up advertisement for paradise.
The Hotel Paradiso itself is in fine shape: right at the very top of the old town, with beautiful views of the Sibillini mountains. The restaurant is very good.
